Allen Wallace
Founder
Allen has been a journalist since 1994, working all over the U.S. He came to Columbia in 2009, working locally at WLTX, Midlands Anchor, and as one of the first reporters at Cola Daily. He currently serves as Communications Manager for the USC College of Hospitality, Retail and Sports Management. He won a South Carolina Broadcasters Association Award of Merit in 2015 for breaking news coverage. He is currently writing a book on USC Dance Marathon and its partnership with Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital, and is committed to telling the stories of Columbia and the people who make it a great place to live.
Alli Willingham
Founder
Alli is a criminologist with over a decade of collegiate teaching and research experience. Creatively, she has worked as a community news assistant for The Gleaner newspaper in Henderson, KY and the editor of The Hill college newspaper, both in Henderson, KY; the assistant editor fo the Muse's Repertoire literary journal in Owensboro, KY; and the publisher and lifestyle columnist for Midlands Anchor in Columbia, SC. Alli is an alumna of the University of South Carolina (go, Gamecocks!) and a passionate advocate for social justice and criminal justice reforms. She is eager to share with others all the reasons she has fallen in love with, and continuously returned to, the beautiful city of Columbia, SC.
